A FIRST THURSDAY FEAST…

After the successful launch of the Cinema Club during the last First Thursday (6 August) at Pepperclub Hotel & Spa, the hotel is excited to announce yet another jam packed night of entertainment for First Thursday regulars this coming Thursday (3 September).

The Cinema Club on First Thursday will once again showcase a selection of popular short films in the hotel’s plush and intimate 28 seater Odeon Cinema. The Cinema Club seeks to provide guests with a refreshing collection of short films and this week’s guest curator is none other than talented director, Daniel Levi. Entrance is free and the short films will be screened every hour, on the hour from 18h00 until 21h00. All you need to do is book your seat on the day at the hotel’s concierge desk – but be warned, they are on a first come, first served basis!

Offering a unique and interactive cinematic feast, Dylan Voogt – South African independent film Producer who conceptualised the Cinema Club – sums up the experience perfectly: “Free Tickets. Free Popcorn. Free Drinks. Free Awesome.”

While waiting for your short films to start guests will be able sample local wines from the wine tasting station in the hotel’s Paparazzi Bar & Lounge. This Thursday will see the wine tasting station being manned by our guest winery, Township Winery – a community-owned central winery in the middle of Philippi township.
Paparazzi Bar & Lounge’s also offers a tapas menu which includes dishes such as Greek meatballs, Jalapeno and cheese rissoles and Japanese crumbed chicken goujons for those looking to refuel before exploring the evening’s activities.

DJ Paul Franks will also be on the decks providing his soothing sounds to ease you into the evening’s activities in the hotel’s Paparazzi Bar & Lounge.
